CLIENT: Lab Middle School
Lab Middle School was in desperate need of a website redesign to further its mission of recruiting students and to act a s a method of communication between the school , students and parents.
My son was a student at the school and this was my opportunity to give back. We quickly assembled a team of dedicated parents—experienced writers, web developers and strategists, and a photographer whose talent shines through.
The team would meet for one day each week for months to plan every aspect of the project. Good collaboration was the key to the success of the project, but the camaraderie make the project flow.
UX xs UI
User Experience is a conglomeration of tasks focused on optimization of a product for effective and enjoyable use.
User Interface Design is its compliment, the look and feel, the presentation and interactivity of a product.
Like any other design process, both UX and UI have a primary objective of focussing on the user, their interaction with the product and their experience. Both the weight of the paper in a book and the ease of using a button on a screen effect the users experience.
